HEY YA GUYS!

We are getting ready for a CRAZY summer ahead and before we head out on the road, we are going to be doing it BIG in Michigan, giving you some great artist that deserve MUCH MORE attention.

We are proud to be Michigan residents right now as we watch three of our little 'bands that could' make it to some big name festivals.

THE MACPODZ - WAKARUSA - Lawrence, KS - June 05-08

NOMO - BONNAROO - Manchester, TN - June 12-15

TALLY HALL - LOLLAPALOOZA - August 01-03

All hailing straight out of our HOMETOWN of Ann Arbor, MI, the Macpodz and Nomo have polished and refined there sound and can be considered core jazz material at many stations. The Macpodz are currently touring two albums, Genius Food For Superhero's and the 2008, latin/world influenced Orcastrate. Nomo, a band whose name that can be placed alongside jazz-forward ensembles like Antibalas, Jazzanova, Groove Collective and the bite that is Greyboy Allstars, have made nationwide buzz for quite sometime; specifically, the attention towards Elliot Bergman, the young saxophone, jazz cat of our new musical generation. An artist I place with Marco Benevento, Sam Barsh and Christian Scott, Elliot will helm the band to what I think will be a festival defining performance at Bonnaroo.

We will be doing exclusive artist coverage of all three of our hometown gems before seeing them off to the festival season, and what better way to kick that series off than with the newly signed, Atlantic records Tally Hall.

A refreshing, almost island like composition and beach-boyseque harmony, these group of guys differentiate themselves by the color of tie and are the sure fire NEXT BIG THING. Dating back some friendships to days at Andover High School in MI, Tally Hall officially formed in 2002 while they were in residency at the university of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The group has gained nationwide attention through exposure via MTV segment You Hear It First in September 2006 and performed their single "Good Day" on the Late, Late Show With Craig Ferguson in the month prior. Their first album, Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, was remastered and released on Atlantic records April 01, 2008 and on April 22, 2008, they are set to debut the Tally Hall Internet Show.

Stay tuned for further coverage of these three bands, but until then, enjoy some links :-)
